[WhyNot] Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru – 02v2 This entry was posted by Futsuu.
WhyNot? More like Why, if you ask me.
He isn’t talking about the choice, but the act itself. As in, they don’t face a dilemma of whether or not to abandon one of their own, but rather a moral dilemma because they have to in order to stay alive.
Complete opposite of what’s being said. “The ‘individual’ has nothing to gain by being a social creature.”
An antithesis against the group society/mentality itself.
“You make it sound like being social is a crime.”
There’s a difference. Learn it.
I’m not sure what to think of this line as a person.
How is that at fault for her tendency to try and fit in? I’m not saying the usage of “apartment” is wrong here, but this line could make things a lot clearer.
Try “apartment complex”, maybe? That way the viewer could figure out that she’s like that because she grew up surrounded by other residents instead of in a standalone home.
“In other words, they act out the fantasies they create in their minds, right?”
Not just “in his case”, but generally.
“He’s better off than some of the rest because at least his fantasy is based on history.”
“You almost got me to go into the finer details.”
Not typeset, which is a shame because this thing is actually kinda funny.
No. He rushed here in order to make good on the “contract”. Where did the participate even come from?
“but I have no friends to ask for impressions.”
“That makes it possible for the World Congress to access the Akashic Records—”
Firstly, he says “hammer of the gods”.
Secondly, you could at least try to preserve the fact that he uses two different words for “hammer”. Ever heard of synonyms?
Lastly, holy fucking shit this line is awful.
So, it was imaginably boring?
I know he says “battle”, but come on.
“Action LNs these days use special readings like these—”
Try translating instead of just blindly copying whatever word they use. It’s called ‘engrish’ for a reason.
“Will you once again read what I write?”
Just writing what he wants to write makes him happy. Moving someone’s heart is just a bonus.
No, it’s not fine. He’s telling him to forget about all of that and focus on his script first.
Conclusion: Okay
Accuracy: 7/10; Flow: 5/10; Atmosphere: 7/10
The translation is mostly accurate, but not quite there. That said, the biggest problem with this release is that the English is absolutely dreadful. I’ve heard they don’t edit this thing and it shows. With so many other groups doing this show, WhyNot’d better pick up their game or else there’d be no reason for anyone to watch their release. Hopefully they do.

Love come? More like “how come” if you ask me.
