Translation review: [Doki] To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S 01

Good job

Let’s hope this release will be a surprisingly good job too.

Top

The guy (whose line is in the top) is saying “Dude, she’s an esper…” The next line’s leadout is way too long.

Dorm

No. They left their dorm, not arrived at Misaka and Kuroko’s.

Saten

This sounds like she’s saying that it’s like Saten to knock out whole gangs with electroshock.

Disgust

I’d rather use “disgusting” instead of “troublesome” here.

Officially

“Officially I am, but who knows if that’s only because of my ability?”

AYCE

“We had an all-you-can-eat earlier with Uiharu at one of the shops.”

Smirk

This line makes me smirk every single time.

Told

“Remember what I told you?”

Boring

I don’t think this is the right expression here.

Conclusion: Good

Accuracy: 8/10; Flow: 7/10; Atmosphere: 8/10

Except for a few translation derps, mistaken phrases and the overall stiffness of the script, this is a quite decent release. Though Doki sure take their time making it (at first I wasn’t sure if it’s really an original translation or just a Funi edit), it’s probably worth it for Doki fanboys.
