I couldn’t spot mishearings in the song, but the translation feels very awkward.

There really isn’t much to say.
The French song isn’t translated. I consider this a capital offense.
First time I see “give a valentine”. Is it valid English?
Too deep for me.
I like the way the ending is done.
Conclusion: Great
Accuracy: 9/10; Flow: 8/10; Atmosphere: 7/10
I don’t really have much to complain about. It’s a steady release with a few derps here and there (such as the bird’s monologue not making too much sense in English). Mazui uses honorifics, but otherwise it’s comfortably localized. On the other hand, pretty much all of the (many) bird and mochi puns are just ignored. There isn’t much stylistic difference between the English of characters who speak in different ways. The market’s name (Usagiyama) and the other instances of usagi are all changed to “bunny”.

Guess I didn’t make the wrong choice watching Mazui if they really have the highest accuracy.
Also, personally I’d prefer foreign language like the French song to not be translated. You’re not supposed to understand it as a Japanese watcher so imo you don’t get the “original treatment” if you watch a sub with it translated.
Vale actually missed 2(?) translation errors in their review, so they really don’t.

Should be. It’s certainly a phrase I’ve heard used, anyway. And thorough research (googling it) turns up a definition of a “valentine” as “a card or message, usually amatory or sentimental but sometimes satirical or comical, or a token or gift sent by one person to another on Valentine Day, sometimes anonymously.” Since you’ve never heard that phrase, it could be regional, but it seems correct.
